   On page 3, line 4 of the striking amendment, after "(3)" insert "(a)"

   On page 3, after line 10 of the striking amendment, insert the following:

   "(b) The total amount of grant funds that may be awarded to a county or city under this section may not exceed ten thousand dollars.

   (c) Local governments selected for the program established by this section that are addressing climate change in their land use and planning transportation planning processes as of the effective date of this act, and receive grants under this section, must provide matching funds equaling fifty percent or more of the grant amount. As used in this subsection (3), "matching funds" does not include monies originating from state or federal sources."

EFFECT: (1) Limits the total amount of grant funds awarded to counties and cities under the local government global warming mitigation adaptation program to $10,000.

(2) Requires participating jurisdictions that are addressing climate change through selected planning processes to provide matching funds equaling 50 percent or more of the grant amount.

(3) Specifies that "matching funds" may not be monies originating from state or federal sources.
