On page 2, line 12 of the amendment, strike "transportation," and
insert "((transportation,))"
On page 2, line 30 of the amendment, after "(2)" insert "The
department shall work with the department of transportation to identify
and catalog underutilized, state-owned land and property suitable for
the development of affordable housing for very low-income or low-income
households. The department of transportation shall provide an
inventory of real property that is owned or administered by the agency
and is available for sale or lease. The inventory must be provided to
the department by November 1, 2008, with inventory revisions provided
each November 1st thereafter. Upon written request, the department
shall provide a copy of the department of transportation's inventory
to parties interested in developing the sites for affordable housing.

Renumber the remaining subsections consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly.

On page 19, line 3 of the title amendment, after "43.20A.037," strike "47.12.063, 47.12.064,"
EFFECT: DOT is exempt from the right of first refusal requirements and the new inventory requirements in the bill. However, DOT must report its inventory of available land for affordable housing annually to CTED. This is the same requirement that DOT has under current law.
