On page 2, line 32, after "(14)" insert ""Hearth products" means any wood, pellet, natural gas, propane, electric, or oil-fueled appliance that has a visual presence in a living space of a home, or any outdoor natural gas or propane-fueled barbecue or fireplace that is listed to the appropriate underwriters laboratories, American national standards institute, or ASTM international product safety standard.

     On page 3, beginning on line 7, after "(i)" strike all material through "coal stoves;" on line 8, and insert "Hearth products;"

     On page 7, beginning on line 5, strike all of subsection (1)(k) and insert the following:
     "(k) Installing, maintaining, servicing, and replacing hearth products. Installing, maintaining, servicing, and replacing a hearth product includes the act of connecting the appliance with an approved flexible gas supply line not to exceed forty-eight inches in length and all other necessary installation, including venting, per manufacturer instructions, specifications, and appropriate building codes."
