Background:
So long as they meet certain requirements, state employees may request payroll deductions
for the following:
Deductions for labor or employee organization dues and voluntary employee contributions to any funds, committees, or subsidiary organizations maintained by labor or employee organizations may be made if a payroll deduction is not provided under a collective bargaining agreement.
Summary of Bill:
Deductions for retiree organization dues and voluntary contributions to any funds,
committees, or subsidiary organizations maintained by retiree organizations may be made if a
payroll deduction is not provided under a collective bargaining agreement.

Fiscal Note: Available.
Effective Date: The bill takes effect 90 days after adjournment of session in which bill is passed.
Staff Summary of Public Testimony:
(In support) This bill is a continuation of last year's HB 2780. It authorizes payroll
deductions for retiree organizations at the same level as labor and employee organizations.
