Background:
Vehicles operated on public roads and highways must have a current vehicle license issued by the
Department of Licensing. Specific vehicles are exempt from this requirement.
Summary of Bill:
City, county, and park and recreational district maintenance equipment that is used primarily for
maintenance and not for transportation is exempt from vehicle licensing requirements when
traveling on city or county roads during the day.

Effective Date: The bill takes effect 90 days after adjournment of session in which bill is passed.
