Background:
The Adult Family Home Advisory Committee was established in 2002 to provide
recommendations to the Department of Social and Health Services on matters pertaining to the
industry. The committee meets at least four times a year, and reviews issues related to
inspection, enforcement, and quality improvement. The committee includes adult family home
providers, the long term care ombudsman, and representatives from the resident council
program, families, and consumers.
Summary of Bill:
A representative from a general authority Washington law enforcement agency is added to the
Adult Family Home Advisory Committee.

Effective Date: The bill takes effect 90 days after adjournment of session in which bill is passed.
