    On page 1, line 1 of the amendment, after "Sec. 1." insert "strike all material through "2016." on page 2, line 9 and"

    On page 1, after line 15 of the amendment, strike all material through "2014" on line 27 of the amendment

    On page 1, after line 27 of the amendment, insert the following:

    "On page 2, line 28, after "28A.155.045" strike ", section 1 of this act,"

    On page 3, line 14, after "((2013))" strike "2014" and insert "2015""

    On page 2, after line 12 of the amendment, insert the following:

    "On page 7, beginning on line 1, strike all of section 3

    Renumber the remaining sections consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly."

EFFECT:  Maintains the requirement in the underlying amendment that the class of 2015 is the first class who must meet the state standard on the science assessment for both a Certificate of Academic Achievement (CAA) and for graduation.  However, removes the provision that students starting with the class of 2014 must pass science to earn a CAA, and removes the provision that students in the class of 2014 who do not earn a CAA may still graduate by taking an additional science class.
