    On page 2, beginning on line 3, strike all of subsections (3) and (4) and insert the following:

    "(3) This section does not prohibit a seller from:

    (a) Charging future payments on a customer's credit or debit card if the customer consents, previously consented, or previously provided that credit or debit card to the seller to be associated with an existing account;

    (b) Requiring that a customer provide a credit or debit card to the seller that will be associated with an account at the initiation of that account; or

    (c) Requiring that a customer consent to automatic renewals of a contract."  

EFFECT: States that the bill does not prohibit a seller from charging future payments on a card if the customer consents, previously consented, or provided that card to the seller to be associated with an existing account.

States that the bill does not prohibit a seller from requiring a customer to consent to automatic renewals of a contract.
