On page 33, line 27 of the amendment, after "of a" strike
"colposcope" and insert "((colposcope)) colposcopy"
On page 33, line 28 of the amendment, after "department" insert ". Costs for a colposcopy examination given under this subsection shall not be included"
On page 36, beginning on line 30 of the amendment, strike all material through "July 1, 2015." on line 31
EFFECT: Excludes the costs of colposcopy exams (a type of exam
given to victims of rape and sexual assault) from the $50,000 cap for
claim benefits under the Crime Victims' Compensation Program. Benefits
under the Crime Victims' Compensation Program are currently limited to
$50,000 per person per claim.
Makes two technical corrections, including changing the term
"colposcope exam" to "colposcopy exam." A colposcope is the name of
the instrument used by physicians for the exam and the actual procedure
or examination is called a colposcopy exam.
