On page 2, beginning on line 9, after "(3)" strike all material through "RCW." on line 36 and insert "By December 31, 2013, the department of ecology shall conduct rulemaking to review and consider whether the current environmental checklist form in WAC 197-11-960 ensures consideration of potential impacts to agricultural lands of long-term commercial significance, as that term is used in chapter 36.70A RCW."
EFFECT: Removes the requirement in the underlying bill that the department of ecology add seven questions regarding potential impacts of a proposal on agricultural lands to the environmental checklist at the next update of the state environmental policy act rules. Removes the definition in the underlying bill of "agricultural lands." Requires the department of ecology to conduct rulemaking by December 31, 2013, to review and consider whether the current environmental checklist ensures consideration of potential impacts to agricultural lands of long-term commercial significance.
