On page 2, line 12 of the amendment, strike "(1)"

     On page 2, beginning on line 21 of the amendment, after "state" strike all material through "state." on line 26 and insert ", as long as legislators are charged the same amount for each bill they introduce or cosponsor. If the measure is certified by the secretary of state for the general election ballot, the sponsor shall receive a refund of four hundred fifty dollars, as long as legislators are refunded the same amount if their bill becomes law. Any sponsor who lacks sufficient assets or income at the time of filing to pay the filing fee required by this section shall submit at least one thousand valid signatures of registered voters in order to be exempt from the filing fee, as long as legislators who lack sufficient assets or income at the time of filing to pay the filing fee for introducing or cosponsoring a bill required by this section shall submit at least one thousand valid signatures of registered voters in order to be exempt from the filing fee."
