1AN ACT Relating to salaries of elected officials; and amending RCW
243.03.011, 43.03.012, and 43.03.013.
3BE IT ENACTED BY THE WASHINGTON CITIZENS' COMMISSION ON SALARIES FOR
4ELECTED OFFICIALS OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:
5Sec. 1. RCW 43.03.011 and 2009 c 581 s 1 are each amended to read
6as follows:
7Pursuant to Article XXVIII, section 1 of the state Constitution and
8RCW 43.03.010 and 43.03.310, the annual salaries of the state elected
9officials of the executive branch shall be as follows:
10(1) Effective September 1, ((2008)) 2010:
11(a) Governor$ 166,891
12(b) Lieutenant governor$ 93,948
13(c) Secretary of state$ 116,950
14(d) Treasurer$ 116,950
15(e) Auditor$ 116,950
16(f) Attorney general$ 151,718
17(g) Superintendent of public instruction$ 121,618
18(h) Commissioner of public lands$ 121,618
19(i) Insurance commissioner$ 116,950

21(4) The lieutenant governor shall receive the fixed amount of his
22or her salary plus 1/260th of the difference between his or her salary
23and that of the governor for each day that the lieutenant governor is
24called upon to perform the duties of the governor by reason of the
25absence from the state, removal, resignation, death, or disability of
26the governor.
27Sec. 2. RCW 43.03.012 and 2009 c 581 s 2 are each amended to read
28as follows:
29Pursuant to Article XXVIII, section 1 of the state Constitution and
30RCW 2.04.092, 2.06.062, 2.08.092, 3.58.010, and 43.03.310, the annual
31salaries of the judges of the state shall be as follows:
32(1) Effective September 1, ((2008)) 2010:
33(a) Justices of the supreme court$ 164,221
34(b) Judges of the court of appeals$ 156,328
35(c) Judges of the superior court$ 148,832
36(d) Full-time judges of the district court$ 141,710
37(2) Effective September 1, ((2009)) 2011:
1(a) Justices of the supreme court$ 164,221
2(b) Judges of the court of appeals$ 156,328
3(c) Judges of the superior court$ 148,832
4(d) Full-time judges of the district court$ 141,710
5(3) Effective September 1, ((2010)) 2012:
6(a) Justices of the supreme court$ 164,221

9(d) Full-time judges of the district court$ 141,710
10(4) The salary for a part-time district court judge shall be the
11proportion of full-time work for which the position is authorized,
12multiplied by the salary for a full-time district court judge.
13Sec. 3. RCW 43.03.013 and 2009 c 581 s 3 are each amended to read
14as follows:
15Pursuant to Article XXVIII, section 1 of the state Constitution and
16RCW 43.03.010 and 43.03.310, the annual salary of members of the
17legislature shall be:
