Requires the department of general administration, in consultation with the department of health, to: (1) Adopt a model food purchasing policy for all agencies to establish standards for certain food; and

(2) Assist agencies attempting to implement food purchasing policies and food standards.

Requires the department of social and health services and the department of corrections to each develop a food purchasing policy for certain food.

Encourages the procurement of Washington grown food in the policies.
