"The state board shall provide for the 1,000 full-time equivalent aerospace enrollments in Engrossed House Bill 2088 (aerospace appropriations) from within existing resources. The general fund-state appropriation in this section is reduced by $8,000,000 to reflect this.

EFFECT: Reduces the general fund--state appropriation for fiscal year 2015 by $8,000,000 for the State Board of Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC). Requires that the SBCTC provide for the 1,000 full-time equivalent aerospace enrollments in Engrossed House Bill 2088 (aerospace appropriations) from within existing resources.
Provides $500,000 for the University of Washington to develop plans for an advanced manufacturing research and product development facility located at University Center.
Provides $1,500,000 to the University of Washington solely for implementation of family practice residencies in southeastern Washington in partnership with qualified hospitals.
Provides $144,000 of the funds from the transfer of University Center from the SBCTC directly to the University of Washington.
Reduces the general fund-state appropriation for Washington State University (WSU) by $1,645,000. Provides $500,000 for WSU to design a school of advanced manufacturing and aerospace to be located at University Center. Provides $1,000,000 to WSU to expand software engineering and agricultural food systems programs located at University Center. Reduces the total funding and full-time equivalent students transferred from the SBCTC to WSU as part of the University Center transfer.
Provides $1,600,000 to Eastern Washington University to expand STEM enrollments.
Provides $1,600,000 to Central Washington University to expand STEM enrollments.
Provides $357,000 of the funds from the transfer of University Center from the SBCTC directly to the Central Washington University.
Provides $800,000 to the Evergreen College for STEM student success initiative.
Provides $1,134,000 of the funds from the transfer of University Center from the SBCTC directly to the Western Washington University.
FISCAL IMPACT: Reduces General Fund - State overall by $500,000.
This includes:
Reduction of the SBCTC by $8,000,000. Increase of the University of Washington by $2,144,000. Reduction of Washington State University by $134,000. Increase of Eastern Washington University by $1,600,000. Increase of Central Washington University by $1,957,000. Increase of The Evergreen College by $800,000. Increase of Western Washington University by $1,134,000.
