Requires specialty training for providers, resident managers, and caregivers who work in adult family homes that serve residents with special needs such as dementia, developmental disabilities, or mental illness. |
Requires adult family homes to disclose the scope of, and charges for, the care, services, and activities provided by the home or customarily arranged for by the home. |
Requires the department of social and health services: (1) When it has imposed a stop placement, to also impose a condition on license or other remedy to facilitate or spur prompter compliance, under certain circumstances; and |
(2) If an adult family home corrects a violation or deficiency that the department discovers, to record and consider such violation or deficiency for purposes of the home's compliance history. |
Provides that the act is null and void if appropriations are not approved. |
