Background:
A school district's board of directors may establish and collect fees from students and nonstudents for attendance at optional noncredit extracurricular school district events. The school district must have regulations for waiving or reducing fees for low income students and non-students over 65 years of age. The board may collect a single comprehensive fee for attendance at multiple noncredit extracurricular school district events.
Summary of Bill:
The board of directors of any common school district may establish and collect a fee from students as a condition of parking an automobile or other vehicle on school property. The money must be allocated, in sum or in portion, to the school district's associated student body program fund, debt service fund, or capital project fund.
