HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 2016-4650, by Representatives Rossetti and Blake
WHEREAS, On November 7, 2015, the Ocosta High School cross country team won a state title at the state tournament in Pasco, WA; and
WHEREAS, This win was the first state title victory for girls' sports at the school and the first state title victory for the school since 1971; and
WHEREAS, The team consisted of Kelsey Gundersen, who placed 15th at 20 minutes 37 seconds; Kathryn Anderson, who placed 17th at 20 minutes 39 seconds; Sararose Gallo, who placed 26th at 21 minutes 09 seconds; Rachael Saul who placed 28th at 21 minutes 14 seconds; McKenzie Ballo, who placed 35th at 21 minutes 39 seconds; and Alexi Most, who placed 41st at 22 minutes 02 seconds; and
WHEREAS, Coach Aaron Anderson and assistant coach Chris Anderson led the team to victory;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives recognize and honor the Ocosta High School cross country team; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be immediately transmitted by the Chief Clerk of the House of Representatives to the principal of Ocosta High School and to cross country coach Aaron Anderson.
