Requires the department of transportation to develop an annual report summarizing the status of public transportation system coordination in central Puget Sound for the previous calendar year.

Requires each municipality in central Puget Sound, to assist the department with preparation of the annual report, to file a report by September 1st of each year with the department identifying its coordination efforts in the previous calendar year with other municipalities in central Puget Sound.

Creates the transit coordination grant program to encourage joint planning and coordination on the part of central Puget Sound transit systems.

Provides that a transit agency located in central Puget Sound is eligible to apply to the department for transit coordination grants.

Provides a July 1, 2020, expiration date for the grant program.
