Prohibits a child's school enrollment status, for children ages sixty months through six years, from being used as a reason to require the child be placed within a specific mixed-age group.

Changes the definition of "school-age child," for purposes of chapter 43.215 RCW (department of early learning), by changing "a child who is between the ages of five years and twelve years" to "a child who is five years of age through twelve years of age."
