SB 5895 - DIGEST

Establishes the employer responsibility for medical assistance costs of employees act of 2015.

Extends an employer responsibility penalty to employers with employees covered by medical assistance.

Ensures that employees who receive health care coverage through medical assistance are protected from possible retaliation by their employer for seeking or obtaining that coverage.

Helps pay the nonfederal share of costs for medical assistance, improves reimbursement to the providers who care for medical assistance clients, and supports the safety net of county hospitals and community clinics that provide care for the remaining uninsured adult workers.
