EFFECT: Requires a determination by the department of ecology of the existence of a safer alternative to the use of PFAS chemicals in food packaging applications to be supported by feedback from an external peer review of the department of ecology's alternatives assessment. Requires the department of ecology's 2020 report to the legislature on its PFAS chemicals in food packaging safer alternative determination to include the peer review feedback received by the department of ecology.
