    On page 3, line 27 of the striking amendment, after "(3)" strike "(a)"

    On page 3, beginning on line 30 of the striking amendment, after "load" strike all material through "2044" on page 4, line 11 and insert "sufficient to meet the utility's proportionate share of statewide emission reduction limits established in RCW 70.235.020(1)(a)"

    On page 10, beginning on line 21 of the striking amendment, after "legislature." strike all material through "load." on line 34

EFFECT:   Aligns the electric utility and market customer fossil fuel reduction targets with the state's greenhouse gas emission reduction limits for 2020, 2045, and 2050, rather than establishing separate reduction requirements for 2030, 2035, 2040, and 2045. Removes the requirement for the Joint Select Committee on Washington's Clean Energy Transition to include a recommendation for proposed legislation to be considered during the 2020 regular legislative session.
