    EFFECT:   Removes the per-taxpayer cap on the sales and use tax exemption provided for machinery and equipment used directly in generating electricity using certain alternative and renewable energy resources. Reduces the statewide limit on the sales and use tax exemption from $5 million in any fiscal year to $250,000 in any fiscal year. Removes the per-taxpayer cap on the public utility tax credit provided for clean energy investment expenditures. Reduces the statewide limit on the public utility tax credit from $5 million per calendar year to $250,000.
