On page 1, after line 14, insert the following:

"(c) The requirement that a landlord must permit the tenant to pay any deposits, nonrefundable fees, and last month's rent in installments does not apply to rental property that is located within a city, town, or county that has enacted an ordinance that limits the ability of a property owner to commence or complete an unlawful detainer action during specific months or times of the year.”

EFFECT: Provides that the requirement that a landlord permit a tenant to pay any deposits, nonrefundable fees, and last month's rent in installments does not apply to rental property that is located within a city, town, or county that has enacted an ordinance that limits the ability of a property owner to commence or complete an unlawful detainer action during specific months or times of the year.
