EFFECT:   Adds an exemption from the large capacity magazine prohibitions for any person who lawfully possesses a firearm for the purpose of lawful self-defense or defense of the state, while acting within the scope of the person's duties and if authorized to acquire a large capacity magazine in connection with official duties.
