On page 4, beginning on line 25, after "hold" strike all material through "by the commission" on line 30 and insert "at least ten public forums; at least one public forum must be held in each of the congressional districts in the state"

On page 5, beginning on line 33, after "least" strike "thirty days before the second round of public forums begin" and insert "ninety days before the release of a reasonably final plan,"

EFFECT: Changes the requirement that the Redistricting Commission hold two rounds of public forums of at least 10 public forums each, to require instead at least 10 total public forums, with at least one forum held in each of the state's Congressional districts. Changes the requirement that the Commission's preliminary plan be released 30 days before the second round of public forums to at least 90 days before the release of a reasonably final plan.
