On page 3, after line 32, insert the following:
"(7) An electric utility formed under this chapter may not implement a beneficial electrification plan under this section if a regional reliability assessment conducted under RCW
19.405.080 demonstrates a regional resource adequacy deficit."
On page 5, after line 25, insert the following:
"(7) A public utility district may not implement a beneficial electrification plan under this section if a regional reliability assessment conducted under RCW
19.405.080 demonstrates a regional resource adequacy deficit."
EFFECT: Prohibits a municipal electric utility or public utility district from implementing a beneficial electrification plan if a regional reliability assessment conducted under RCW
19.405.080 (Washington clean energy transformation act) demonstrates a regional resource adequacy deficit.
