On page 20, after line 35, insert the following:
"
NEW SECTION. Sec. 15. A new section is added to chapter
18.79 RCW to read as follows:
In the event of a strike or a lockout, a nurse may only practice in the affected facility if the nurse holds a license issued by the commission. A nurse may not use a multistate license for the purpose of working in an affected facility in the event of a strike or a lockout unless that multistate license was issued by the commission under chapter 18.-- RCW (the new chapter created in section 25 of this act)."
Renumber the remaining sections consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly.
EFFECT: In the event of strike or lockout at a facility, requires a nurse to hold a license issued by the Nursing Care Quality Assurance Commission to work in that facility.
