Synopsis as Enacted
Brief Description: Clarifying the required color of certain lamps on vehicles.
Sponsors: Senators Lovelett, Nguyen, Fortunato, Das, Billig and Hunt; by request of Washington State Patrol.

Background: Generally, under current law, all lighting devices and reflectors mounted on the rear of any vehicle must display or reflect a red color, except the stop lamp or other signal device may be red, amber, or yellow.
Summary: All rear commercial motor vehicle stop lamps must be red and other signal devices must be red or amber.
