AN ACT Relating to creating sales and use tax exemptions for firearms; adding a new section to chapter 82.08 RCW; adding a new section to chapter 82.12 RCW; and creating a new section.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1. A new section is added to chapter 82.08 RCW to read as follows:

(1) The tax levied by RCW 82.08.020 does not apply to sales of the following specifically identified firearms, or to sales of any other firearm that is permitted to be possessed under federal law:

(a) AK-47 in all forms;

(b) AK-74 in all forms;

(d) American Arms Spectre da Semiautomatic carbine;

(e) AR15, M16, or M4 in all forms;

(f) AR 180 type semi-auto;

(g) Argentine L.S.R. semi-auto;

(h) Australian Automatic;

(i) Auto-Ordnance Thompson M1 and 1927 Semi-Automatics;

(j) Barrett .50 cal light semi-auto;

(k) Barrett .50 cal M87;

(l) Barrett .50 cal M107A1;

(m) Barrett REC7;

(n) Beretta AR70/S70 type semi-auto;

(o) Bushmaster Carbon 15;

(p) Bushmaster ACR;

(q) Bushmaster XM-15;

(r) Bushmaster MOE;

(s) Calico models M100 and M900;

(t) CETME Sporter;

(u) CIS SR 88 type semi-auto;

(v) Colt CAR 15;

(w) Daewoo K-1;

(x) Daewoo K-2;

(y) Dragunov Semi-Auto;

(z) Fabrique Nationale FAL in all forms;

(aa) Fabrique Nationale F2000;

(bb) Fabrique Nationale L1A1 Sporter;

(cc) Fabrique Nationale M249S;

(dd) Fabrique Nationale PS90;

(ee) Fabrique Nationale SCAR;

(ff) FAMAS .223 Semi-Auto;

(2) For the purposes of this section, "firearm" has the same meaning as in RCW 9.41.010.

NEW SECTION. Sec. 2. A new section is added to chapter 82.12 RCW to read as follows:

(1) The tax levied by RCW 82.12.020 does not apply to the use of the following specifically identified firearms, or to the use of any other firearm that is permitted to be possessed under federal law:
