BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE AND HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON, IN LEGISLATIVE SESSION ASSEMBLED:
THAT, At the next general election to be held in this state the secretary of state shall submit to the qualified voters of the state for their approval and ratification, or rejection, an amendment to Article I of the Constitution of the state of Washington by adding a new section to read as follows:
Article I, section . . .. The right of the individual citizen to fish, hunt, and otherwise harvest wildlife shall not be infringed. This section does not abrogate, supersede, or limit any provision of law relating to trespass or private property rights. This section does not obligate or require the state or its political subdivisions to prohibit, curtail, control, regulate, or undertake, any activity that may directly or indirectly affect the abundance or health of fish or wildlife. This section may not be construed to establish, confirm, execute, implement, diminish, augment, alter, or in any way affect, any treaty, federal law, or presidential executive order.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the secretary of state shall cause notice of this constitutional amendment to be published at least four times during the four weeks next preceding the election in every legal newspaper in the state.
