| EFFECT: Eliminates the provisions doubling the statutory damages for violations of regulations related to commercial emails and electronic text messages. Eliminates the provisions expanding the private right of action for violations of anti-phishing regulations to apply to other regulations related to commercial emails and electronic text messages. Eliminates the provisions creating a private right of action and establishing statutory damages for violations of regulations related to commercial solicitations via automatic dialing and announcing devices. |
