On page 7, after line 22, insert the following:

"(f) Before providing services to an unaccompanied homeless youth who provides informed consent authorized under this subsection (3), the health care provider shall ask the unaccompanied homeless youth a series of questions developed by the office of crime victims advocacy established in RCW 43.280.080 designed to determine whether the unaccompanied homeless youth may be a victim of human trafficking. If any answer provided by the unaccompanied homeless youth indicates that the unaccompanied homeless youth may be a victim of human trafficking, the health care provider shall report the information to the department of children, youth, and families, and law enforcement."

EFFECT:   Requires health care providers to ask an unaccompanied homeless youth who is authorized to provide informed consent under the provisions of the underlying bill a series of questions developed by the Office of Crime Victims Advocacy designed to determine whether the unaccompanied homeless youth may be a victim of human trafficking before providing services. If the unaccompanied youth provides any answer to those questions that indicates the youth may be a victim of human trafficking, the health care provider is required to report the information to the Department of Children, Youth, and Families, and law enforcement.
