EFFECT: Requires Safer Products for Washington priority chemical designations, priority consumer product designations, regulatory determinations, and rule adoption of regulatory determinations by the Department of Ecology to occur by June 1st of specified years, rather than by September 1st of those years. Removes the requirement that the Department of Ecology designate priority chemicals and priority consumer products and determine regulatory actions for the chemicals and products at least every five years, and requires the department to make such designations and determinations precisely every five years. Removes provisions directing the Department of Ecology to publish notice and submit notice of priority chemical and priority product designations and regulatory determinations to the Washington State Register and the Legislature, and requires Ecology to submit a report of those designations and determinations to the Legislature.
