On page 10, after line 34, insert the following:

"NEW SECTION.  Sec. 4. A new section is added to chapter 42.52 RCW to read as follows:

No state legislator, while in office, may receive compensation for employment for any firm that is hired to lobby the state legislature or state agencies."

Renumber the remaining sections consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly.

On page 1, line 1 of the title, after "Relating to" strike the remainder of the title and insert "employment during and after public service in state government; amending RCW 42.52.080 and 42.52.900; reenacting and amending RCW 42.52.010; adding new sections to chapter 42.52 RCW; creating new sections; and providing an effective date."
