On page 28, after line 21, insert the following:

"(c) City attorneys and county prosecuting attorneys are exempt from paying the fees specified in (a) and (b) of this subsection for an abstract of a person's driving record furnished by the department for use in criminal proceedings."

EFFECT: Provides an exemption from the driver's abstract fee to city attorneys and county prosecuting attorneys when they are using the document in a criminal proceeding.

FISCAL IMPACT: Indeterminate - Some loss of revenue to the Highway Safety Fund, the State Patrol Highway Account, and the Move Ahead WA Flexible Account.
