On page 16, after line 8, insert the following:
"(e) Information included in a limited data set, as that term is defined in 45 C.F.R. Sec. 164.514(e), to the extent that the information is used, disclosed, and maintained in the manner required by 45 C.F.R. Sec. 164.514(e)."
| EFFECT: Provides that the bill does not apply to information included in a limited data set, as that term is defined in the Privacy Rule of the federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, to the extent that the information is used, disclosed, and maintained in the manner required by that federal law.
