On page 4, after line 21, insert the following:
"NEW SECTION.  Sec. 8. This act takes effect only if either chapter . . . (House Bill No. 1446), Laws of 2024, or chapter . . . (House Bill No. 2231), Laws of 2024 is enacted by June 30, 2024."
Correct the title.
EFFECT: Adds a provision requiring enactment of House Bill No. 1446 (An Act Relating to incentivizing cities and counties to increase employment of commissioned law enforcement officers) and/or House Bill No. 2231 (An Act Relating to incentivizing cities and counties to attract and retain commissioned law enforcement officers) by June 30, 2024 before the underlying act can take effect.
