On page 3, line 16, after "shall" insert ":

(a) meet and confer in good faith with the law enforcement or corrections agency, and individual officers if relevant, in an attempt to clarify and remedy the alleged violations; and

EFFECT: Requires the Attorney General, prior to taking any formal investigative steps, to meet and confer in good faith with the law enforcement or corrections agency, and individual officers if relevant, in an attempt to clarify and remedy the alleged violations.
