On page 1, after line 30 of the striking amendment, insert the following:

"(f) The tax authorized in this section may not be imposed on a sale of, or charge made for, the furnishing of lodging of a short-term rental that is within two miles of:

(i) An institution of higher education as defined in RCW 28B.92.030; or

(ii) A military installation as defined in RCW 28A.705.010."
