On page 1, line 10 of the striking amendment, after "lodging" strike "of short-term rentals" and insert ","

On page 1, line 11 of the striking amendment, after "platform" insert "of short-term rentals that are within two miles of:

(i) An institution of higher education as defined in RCW 28B.92.030; or

(ii) A military installation as defined in RCW 28A.705.010."

EFFECT: Provides that special excise tax on short-term rentals is only applicable to sales of lodging within two miles of an institution of higher education or a military installation.
