On page 1, line 25 of the striking amendment, after "(e)" insert "The tax authorized in this section shall be credited against the amount of sales tax due to the state under chapter 82.08 RCW on the same sale of lodging.

EFFECT: Provides that the short-term rental excise tax is a credit against the state sales tax collected on the same sale of lodging.
