On page 5, at the beginning of line 7, strike "
applicable commissions established in Title 43 RCW" and insert "
educational opportunity gap oversight and accountability committee created in RCW 28A.300.136"
EFFECT: (1) Requires the Superintendent of Public Instruction to consult with the Educational Opportunity Gap Oversight and Accountability Committee instead of applicable state commissions when: (a) Screening new or revised state learning standards for biased content; and (b) ensuring that the concepts of diversity, equity, and inclusion are included in each new or revised state learning standard.
(2) Modifies intent language.
