On page 5, beginning on line 30, after "electorate." strike all material through "cohesive." on line 33

EFFECT: (1) Removes language allowing courts to find a violation of the Washington Voting Rights Act (WVRA) has occurred if the affected protected class is not compact in the political subdivision.

(2) Requires that coalitions of multiple protected classes jointly filing a claim of a WVRA violation demonstrate that each member of the coalition is internally cohesive.
