"(72) $1,360,000 of the general fundstate appropriation for fiscal year 2024 and $3,252,000 of the general fundfederal appropriation are provided solely to increase the rates paid to rural hospitals that meet the criteria in (a) through (d) of this subsection. (c) Have a level III adult trauma service designation from the department of health as of January 1, 2014; and
(d) Be owned and operated by the state or a political subdivision."
EFFECT: Increases rates paid to rural hospitals that were certified as Sole Community Hospitals as of January 1, 2013, with fewer than 150 acute care licensed beds in FY 2011, to 150 percent of the hospitals fee-for-service rate.
