On page 1, line 5 of the amendment, after "period" strike "not to exceed 12 months" and insert "of no less than six months, up to a maximum of 12 months,"

EFFECT: Requires the defendant's case to be continued for a minimum of six months as part of the process established under the bill for dismissing a misdemeanor or gross misdemeanor charge.
