On page 2, line 3, after "period." insert "The court must make written findings that provide an explanation for its decision to grant the dismissal, including an explanation of how public safety is ensured and justice is upheld by the dismissal."

EFFECT: Requires the court to make written findings containing specified information about its decision if it grants a dismissal through the process established under the act.
