EFFECT: Strikes the requirement for the Washington State Patrol (WSP) Firearms Background Check Program to annually report to the Legislature specified information relating to permits to purchase firearms, including: number of permits issued, denied, and revoked; number and disposition of appeals of denied permits; and aggregate and anonymized demographic data on applicants issued and denied permits.

Prohibits the WSP Firearms Background Check Program from keeping a database, registry, list, or other source of information related to permit applicants longer than is required to conduct the background check, and in no event longer than 30 days from receipt of the application.
