On page 6, after line 30, insert the following:

"(8) In adopting provisions of the International Wildland Urban Interface Code, the council must create an option for affordable housing units within urban growth areas and cities that imposes less expensive requirements on the property owner."

EFFECT: Requires the State Building Code Council to create an option for affordable housing units within urban growth areas and cities that imposes less expensive requirements on the property owner.
