On page 6, after line 30, insert the following:

"(8) In adopting provisions of the International Wildland Urban Interface Code, the council shall amend section 106.4.2 relating to time limitation of application for permits to provide that a submitted application is valid past 180 days without an extension if the delay in the permit approval process is caused by a government agency and not the applicant."

EFFECT: Requires the State Building Code Council to add language to the adopted provisions of the International Wildland Urban Interface Code providing that a permit application is valid beyond 180 days if a delay in the process is caused by a government agency and not the applicant.
